The Pitch :
Let's start with the least important thing : the names and the crew. Edvin Stokic – current position that i am appointed to is Marketing Manager in company Tangenta d.o.o. Me and Mr. Ante Susnjar who is our 3D Graphical Design Expert are working on this project with founder/CEO & Senior Programmer Mr. Adam Cirkic
How did we get an idea to work on such complicated software with small business market and few very good competing programs already to offer metal industry players ? Well, first and most important fact is that mr. Cirkic worked on CNC Laser Machines 3 – 4 years ago and during that period he got wide insight of advantages and disadvantages of commercial softwares that client gets when he orders CNC or similar type of machine. He was appointed as metal cutter so most of his work time he was using and researching user interface of CNC machine.
After browsing through our potential competition we figured out that current programs on the market are not really reaching the heights that we in company thought should be the case at such small but extremely important market.
Most of them are lacking free plug-ins for regular machine operatives and do not have capability to work without ground/support software CAD which client must pay around 10 000 $ with add-ons.
We already got positive feedback from not just one expert but from renowned Croatian institute such as TIC ( Technological Innovation Center ).
Current prototype version is running with these included features:
– 2D layout preview for included pattern fitting model
– Completed functions for 2D mantle and hand nesting rotation
– Imported basic Data Base programmed to remember previous fitting export for specific location
– Expanded manipulation over fittings with 2 imported plugins
– Functions for export in universal CAD .dxf file
Full Version will offer user these improvements:
– Custom made fittings designed for specific type of production
– Improved Data Base with all standard and few new reports (warehouse fitting report etc.)
– Fitting and fitting dimension preview in powerful 3D OpenGL environment
– Price accessibility which will depend on acquired version (from 450$ 850$)
– Completed functions for export in universal CAD .dxf file
The Impact :
I think that impact could be very significant with right methods of marketing breakthrough, we thoroughly studied competition and 85% are below are development standards. If the funds are not collected on time, program will probably be funded during longer period of time by me and Mr. Cirkic, of course that means that we will need probably over 2 years to collect funds and surely another year to finish the program. With fund-a-geek supporters we can finish it much faster and expect wanted results sooner rather than later.
What We Need & What you Get :
For this project our estimated pledge amount should be 15 000 $. Although this is not big or significant amount of money, it is of great importance for lobby marketing campaigns and other varieties of marketing such as newspapers advertising, company presentations directly to client etc. So, most of this money will be spent on marketing, traveling costs and business associates like senior mathematicians, part time programmers, lawyer etc.
