In the limited time you have to raise your Goal Amount, 90 days maximum, you need to be aggressive in promoting your project through your social network and beyond. Besides the support and guidance provided in the “Promoting Your Project” section of our site, we also make available our enhanced, hands-on assistance in promoting your project to reach additional potential backers.

By selecting “Premium Marketing Resources” (PMR) when building your project (see the Funding tab in your project profile), you receive these additional marketing services throughout your project’s campaign.

1. Help you present your project in the best possible way

We carefully review your project’s posting and make suggestions where we feel you can improve or provide more complete information. We review and recommend any improvements we feel you should consider for your pledge amounts & rewards, helping you make them as compelling as possible so a backer is motivated to support your project.

2. Edit and distribute your News Releases

As you write your News Releases, first to announce your project’s launch and then subsequent progress announcements, you send them to FundaGeek for review. We edit and proof them for grammar, spelling or format suggestions, returning a copy for your final approval.

With the first release, we ask you to provide us with 4 or 5 Keywords and/or Keyword Phrases that describe the “area of interest” your project falls under. As an example, if your project is a new technology that improves the efficiency of solar energy collection, then you might list: Solar Panels, Solar Arrays, Solar Energy, Alternative Energy, and Sustainable Energy.

Your Keyword list is what we use to search our database of 2.5 million writers, contributors, editors, etc. We generate a comprehensive “Press List” for your project. These writers whose “Beats Covered” or “Areas of Interest” match your list, will receive your news releases.

You prepare and send us your News Releases during your funding campaign and we get them to a finely targeted writing audience.

3. Help you work your social network-it’s larger than you think

It is very important for you to be responsive to mentions of your project in social networks, whether they are positive or negative postings. The difficult part is being able to find a posting on your project amongst the millions of postings each day in various forms of social media. Another PMR benefit for your Project is that we find these postings for you. Every day we track 20 million bloggers and search all the postings for a mention of your project. Any posting we find that contains the name of your Project is forwarded in a digest that contains the blog posting and contact information so that you can follow up and make the appropriate contact with the blogger.

As a subscriber to PMR you have access to our special “Discount Resources Page.” This page is a collection of selected Vendors offering “Special Discounts” exclusively for PMR Project Owners. They include: Printing services, Project Management Software, SEO and Social Media Marketing, Intellectual Property Legal Services, Property and/or Liability Insurance, and Software Development Tools. We continually add new and additional resources to this page.

5. Prime placement on our homepage

Your project will be featured “above the fold” on our homepage in the special PMR slider control that automatically rotates through randomly selected groups of PMR projects. Each PMR project capsule has premium positioning for prospective backers to view and click through to your project detail page. With this level of better visibility, you may attract more pledges.

6. PMR - no upfront cost

Just like everything else you are able to do on FundaGeek, there is no upfront cost to add Premium Marketing Resources to your project’s campaign. If you select PMR when building your project, FundaGeek’s Standard fee of 5% is increased to 9%.

Premium Marketing is an added value, not a requirement, and will exponentially aid in getting the word out about your project. That translates into a better chance of achieving your funding goal.
